Valerie Kerker, Esq

Valerie Kerker, Esq. is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany (1980) and Albany Law School (1983) and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1984. In 1989, Valerie started a solo general practice, including matrimonial and family law, Wills and Estates, and Real Estate practice.  In 2002, Valerie began the process of mediation training, which is on-going. In 2003, Valerie and Kathleen formed Family Mediation Services to provide a non-adversarial and cost-effective avenue for participants to resolve their disputes in a non-judicial forum. In 2005, Valerie and Kathleen formed Kerker & Gleeson P.C. as partners. In April, 2008, Valerie was one of a select group of attorneys, mental health professionals and financial experts who received Collaborative Law training and now participates in Collaborative Law as part of the Collaborative Law Association of the Capital District Inc., the first such organization in the Capital District.
